DISCLAIMER:

All of Tate's Treats custom and seasonal baked goods are made in a home kitchen, that is not inspected by the Department of State Health Department. Tate’s Treats is approved for operation by the Orange County Health Department under permit number: PR#0123805.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

By making a purchase during a holiday presale, or paying a deposit for a custom order with Tate’s Treats, you are agreeing to the below policies and procedures.

The customer assumes full responsibility of the items purchased once they are received or shipped. Tate's Treats is not liable to fix, replace, or reimburse the customer from that point forward.

ACCEPTED FORMS OF PAYMENT:

Tate's Treats accepts all major credit cards, and electronic payments such as Zelle, PayPal and Venmo. Tate’s Treats politely declines cash payments at this time.

INQUIRIES / RUSH FEE:

Please allow 24-48 hours for responses on inquiries. Tate’s Treats requires 1 week notice for all local pick up orders, and 2 weeks for all shipped orders. Once order details have been confirmed and the customer would like to proceed, a deposit is required to secure the order.

Anything less than the above mentioned time frame will occur a rush fee. Rush fees start at 20% of the total order and go up based on the amount of time given to complete the order.

DEPOSITS:

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for all custom orders that is paid via any electronic payment such as Zelle, Paypal, Venmo, etc. Full payment is required for credit cards, and an invoice will be sent via Square.

The deposit secures the order with Tate's Treats and goes toward the total invoice due. Until the deposit is paid, the order is not confirmed. The final payment is due prior to the scheduled pick up day; if the final payment is not received before the scheduled pick up day, the items will be held until it is received.

The deposit is non-refundable to account for the time, money, and creative development of the desired products for the customer.

CANCELLATIONS:

If your event is cancelled and Tate’s Treats has not started your order, then the deposit can be applied to a future order. If Tate’s Treats has started/completed the order, full payment will still be required.

RETURNS / REFUNDS:

While your satisfaction is of our upmost importance, due to the nature of the items produced, there are no exchanges or returns of the products purchased. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your purchase, please reach out to info@tatestreats.com. 

PICK UPS / NO SHOWS:

Pick up is in San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675. Contactless porch pick up is available for items that do not require refrigeration. The address is shared with the customer closer to the pick up date for safety reasons.

For holiday presales, pick ups are scheduled on a specific day and time frame (example: Friday, June 10th between 4pm-6:30pm). The customer is to pick up their order on that day and time frame. If for any reason the customer cannot pick up their order, please reach out to info@tatestreats.com.

Custom orders are to be picked up/received within 24 hours of desired date, unless you have contacted Tate’s Treats to reschedule.

Any no shows for holiday presales or custom orders, forfeit the product without a refund and are subject to resale.

SHIPPING:

Due to the delicacy of the items produced, Tate’s Treats offers shipping for cookies only.

While Tate’s Treats does it’s best to ensure that items arrive to the customer on-time and not damaged, Tate’s Treats is released from all liability for any items that may arrive damaged, delayed, lost or stolen once the package has been dropped off with the carrier.

Shipping is either paid in advance for holiday presales at checkout, or with the final payment for custom orders. The customer will receive a confirmation email with tracking once the items have been shipped.

By placing an order to have you items shipped, you are agreeing to the above terms.

SHELF LIFE:

Cookies and cake pops are best enjoyed within 7 days of receiving. They should be left out at room temperature, and out of direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate the cookies or cake pops, as it will cause them to dry out much faster.

After 7 days for cake pops and 2 weeks for cookies, both can be stored in the freezer in a freezer bag or sealed container for up to 3-4 months. Take out the night before and allow to thaw in the bag/container on the counter the day before you wish to enjoy one.

Cakes and cupcakes are best enjoyed within 7 days, and should be stored in the refrigerator in their corresponding carrier until a few hours before the event. Take out of the refrigerator 15 minutes before for cupcakes, and 1 hour before for cakes to allow to come to room temperature.

Leftover cake can be cut into slices, wrapped with cellophane and stored in a freezer bag for 3-4 months. Leftover cupcakes can be individually wrapped in cellophane and stored in a container in your freezer for 3-4 months. Take out the night before and allow to thaw on the counter. 

INGREDIENTS:

Commonly used ingredients: Enriched flour, unsalted butter, Guittard premium chocolate wafers, sugar, powdered sugar, brown sugar, eggs, honey, milk, sour cream, meringue powder, cocoa powder, sprinkles, vanilla extract, lemon peel, lemon extract, corn syrup, corn starch, baking powder, salt.

POTENTIAL ALLERGENS:

All of Tate's Treats offered products are nut-free, however, please advise that Tate's Treats is not a nut-free facility. 

Tate’s Treats offers cookies for those that are gluten-free and/or vegan. Please kindly note, that Tate’s Treats is not a designated gluten-free or animal bi-product free facility.

Tate’s Treats politely declines orders from persons with severe allergies. Your health is our top priority, and we do not want to put you at any potential risk.

Allergens include, but not limited to: eggs, wheat/gluten, dairy, soy.
